A Scottish Boozer

The keelson or kelson is a reinforcing structure on top of the keel in the hull of a vessel. Originally used on wooden ships, in modern usage a keelson is any structure used to strengthen the hull or to support any heavy weight.

It felt an appropriate name, paying homage to the years of naval heritage in their Leith home.

Sailors were given a silver coin as a token of good luck so it only felt right that they had their own as part of the brand. Taking various inspiration from around Leith, Edinburgh and their story to design something that feels like it’s always been there.
